Description
Title of the invention: Quick-release rotary hinge and toilet seat fitted with the hinge The present invention relates to an assembly hinge between a toilet seat and a ceramic toilet bowl, and more particularly a rotary hinge quick release and a toilet seat fitted with the hinge.
European patent EPI 199020B1 relates to a toilet seat hinge, comprising a rotary shaft composed of a fixing shaft and a damper connected coaxially. The rotary shaft is pivotally connected to a shaft sleeve of the toilet seat to rotate the toilet seat. The toilet seat hinge further includes a support seat with a vertical insertion rod. The support seat is fixed to a ceramic bowl block. The fixing shaft has a hole which does not open out in the radial direction. The insertion rod is inserted into the non-through hole, and the rotary shaft is sleeved on the upper part of the insertion rod. Consequently, the insertion rod supports the downward pressure of the toilet seat supported by the rotating shaft and the torsion of the rotating damper. This toilet seat hinge has the following problems: (1) It is not easy to assemble and disassemble the toilet seat hinge. The insertion rod and the non-through hole are mounted by press fit, resulting in a complicated installation or disassembly of the toilet seat on the ceramic toilet bowl. (2) The torque of the insertion rod and the pressure it can withstand are insufficient: When a user sits on the toilet seat, the pressure of the entire toilet seat rests on the small area of the upper surface of the insertion rod. If the bottom wall of the through hole is too thin, it is easily penetrated by the insertion rod. If the non-opening hole becomes hollow and the bottom wall of the non-opening hole is thick, the non-opening hole of the rotary shaft is installed on the insertion rod at a higher position (the installation height of the rotating shaft on the insertion rod is equivalent to the torque arm of the support seat), in other words, the height of installation of the toilet seat on the support seat is increased. The torque of the connection between the insertion rod and the support seat is greatly increased, and the strength of the longitudinal connection between the rotary shaft and the support seat is not sufficient. The connection between the insertion rod and the support seat may not withstand the pressure and be damaged.
The preferred means of the Chinese Patent ri CN103908186A to solve the two aforementioned problems are described below.
1. A fixing shaft used to rotate a toilet seat is mounted axially or radially with a locking loop to lock and unlock an insertion rod, so that the toilet seat can be easily assembled and disassembled . One end of the fixing shaft, having no damper, axially comprises the locking loop. (The shock absorber and the locking loop are installed at both ends of the fixing shaft, respectively.) In other words, the locking loop and the damping are not on the same side of the fixing shaft on the rod. insertion. This structure not only increases the installation space of the entire rotary shaft but also limits the flexibility of the assembly of the rotary shaft having the locking loop and the shaft sleeve of the seat. toilet. It is necessary to disassemble the rotary shaft to insert it into the shaft sleeve in stages, making assembly difficult.
2. A raised ring extends upwards from the support seat to wrap the lower part of the insertion rod. The raised ring stands against the rotating shaft. Even if this partially solves the problem of insufficient pressure support for the insertion rod, the torque support point is still on the upper part of the insertion rod. The problem of insufficient torque has still not been resolved.
To resolve the above problems, the present invention relates to a quick release rotary hinge and a toilet seat having the hinge. The hinge is assembled and disassembled by turning the toilet seat to a predetermined angle, so that the toilet seat can be easily assembled and disassembled from a ceramic toilet bowl. The end face of a support seat fully supports the pressure of the toilet seat. The torsion generated by slowly turning the toilet seat down is jointly supported by the support seat and an insertion rod on the support seat. The longitudinal connection force between the rotary shaft and the support seat is greater. The assembly of the present invention and the upper cover shaft sleeve can be more flexible and practical.
One aspect of the present invention relates to a quick release rotary hinge. The quick release rotary hinge includes a support seat and a rotary shaft. The support seat is attached to a ceramic toilet bowl and has an insertion rod. The rotating shaft is made up of a fixing shaft and a shock absorber connected coaxially to rotate a toilet seat. A lower part of the fixing shaft has a vertical post. The vertical post has a rod hole extending from a bottom of the vertical post into the mounting shaft. The insertion rod has a height less than a depth of the rod hole. When the insertion rod is fully inserted into the rod hole to be positioned there, the vertical post is pressed against the support seat. The rotary shaft also includes a locking device disposed on the fixing shaft and located between the damper and the rod hole. The locking device is configured to lock the insertion rod and connected to the toilet seat. When the toilet seat is rotated through a predetermined angle, the locking device is disengaged from a locking groove disposed on the insertion rod so that the insertion rod can be removed from the rod hole.
Preferably, the fixing shaft comprises axially a reduced shaft. The reduced shaft has a stepped hole extending from an outer end of the reduced shaft to the rod hole and communicating with the rod hole. A shock absorber rod of the shock absorber is inserted and fixed to the stepped hole. The locking device is mounted between the reduced shaft and the rod hole. This arrangement does not increase the installation space of the rotary shaft on the toilet seat, and the rotary shaft can lock and unlock the insertion rod, and the installation of the rotary shaft on the seat can be more convenient and quick.
Preferably, the junction of the fixing shaft and the reduced shaft comprises axially an oblong hole crossing the stepped hole. The locking device comprises a spring installed in the stepped hole, a locking element which abuts against the spring and can be moved in and out of the rod hole, a cylindrical upright inserted in the oblong hole and connected to a rear end of the locking element, and a locking ring rotatably connected to the reduced shaft. A rim of the locking ring has a curved groove. When the toilet seat rotates the locking ring, the cylindrical post is pressed against one end of the oblong hole by the rim of the locking ring, and a front end of the locking element is pushed into the rod hole and engagement with the locking rod locking groove. When the locking ring is rotated so that the curved groove gives way to the cylindrical post, the cylindrical post is moved to another end of the oblong hole and engaged in the curved groove, and the spring pushes the locking member so that the front end of the locking member is pulled out of the locking groove and the rod hole to unlock the insertion rod. The locking device of the present invention cleverly uses the hole extending to the rod hole for the insertion of the shock absorber and the installation of the spring and the locking element. The fixing shaft has the oblong hole for mounting the cylindrical upright connected to the rear end of the locking element. The cylindrical upright is controlled to move in the oblong hole to control at the front end of the locking element to enter and exit the rod hole, so as to lock and unlock the insertion rod in the rod hole . The locking device and the damper of the present invention are arranged on the same side of the rod hole of the fixing shaft, which does not increase the length of the rotary shaft. In other words, the installation space of the rotary shaft in the shaft sleeve of the toilet seat will not be increased, and its installation with the toilet seat will be more flexible and practical.
Preferably, an outer surface of the locking ring has a projection. The locking ring is connected to the toilet seat via the projection. When the toilet seat is rotated, the projection simultaneously rotates the locking ring. When the curved groove of the locking ring is rotated to align with the cylindrical post in the axial direction of the fixing shaft, the curved groove gives way to the cylindrical post. The spring activates the locking element and the cylindrical upright to move. The cylindrical post in the oblong hole is radially engaged in the curved groove, and the locking member is pulled out of the rod hole to unlock the insertion rod in the rod hole, so that the insertion rod can be separated from the rod hole, and the rotating shaft is separated from the support seat, and the toilet seat can be removed from the ceramic toilet bowl. Obviously, the outer surface of the locking ring may have a recess instead of the projection, and the recess is connected to the toilet seat.
Preferably, the locking device further comprises a positioning ring for axially positioning the locking ring on the reduced shaft. The positioning ring circumferentially has an annular positioning groove. The positioning ring has an engagement hole. An outer wall of the reduced shaft has a positioning protuberance. The positioning protrusion is engaged with the engagement hole to secure the positioning ring placed on the reduced shaft. One of the aims of the positioning ring is to axially position the locking ring on the reduced shaft. Another object of the positioning ring is that when the rotary shaft is connected to a shaft sleeve, the annular positioning groove of the positioning ring is engaged with an integrated positioning loop on the sleeve d 'shaft, so that the entire rotating shaft is positioned and installed in the shaft sleeve of the toilet seat.
Another aspect of the present invention relates to a toilet seat having the aforementioned quick release rotary hinge. The toilet seat includes a seat and an upper cover. The rotary shaft is inserted into a seat shaft sleeve and a shaft sleeve of the top cover. The vertical post of the fixing shaft is exposed outside the seat shaft sleeve. The seat shaft sleeve is connected to the locking device to lock or unlock the insertion rod in the rod hole.
Preferably, a strip-shaped groove is disposed in the seat shaft sleeve to engage with the projection of the locking ring. The position of the band-shaped groove in the seat shaft sleeve determines the initial mounting state of the locking ring and also determines the magnitude of the angle of rotation of the seat, and the curved groove of the locking ring gives way to the cylindrical upright, so that the locking device unlocks the insertion rod. The toilet seat can be rotated to a predetermined angle to disassemble it or mount the quick release rotary hinge, thereby performing the installation and disassembly of the toilet seat on the ceramic toilet bowl.
Preferably, a positioning loop is integrated in an outer wall of the seat shaft sleeve. The positioning loop is engaged in the annular positioning groove of the positioning ring so that the rotary shaft is positioned in the seat shaft sleeve and the shaft sleeve of the top cover. The rotary shaft can be installed in the shaft sleeve of the toilet seat with ease to reduce the cost of installing the product.
The beneficial effects of the present invention are as follows:
1. The downward pressure of the toilet seat is completely supported by the end face of the support seat. The insertion rod does not support the pressure of the toilet seat. The vertical bonding force of the rotary shaft with the support seat and the insertion rod is greater, and the torque generated by turning the toilet seat can be jointly supported without damaging the support seat.
2. Without the traditional design of the shock absorber and the locking device at both ends of the fixing shaft, the locking device is installed on the fixing shaft and located between the shock absorber and the shaft reduces and cooperates with the toilet seat to lock or unlock the insertion rod. The toilet seat can be easily assembled on or disassembled from the ceramic toilet bowl, without increasing the installation space of the rotary shaft and the shaft sleeve of the toilet seat.
3. Without dismantling the rotary shaft, the assembly of the assembled rotary shaft can be directly inserted and installed in the shaft sleeve of the toilet seat, so that the mounting of the rotary shaft and the toilet seat can be more efficient and flexible.

The embodiments of the present invention will now be described, only by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
As illustrated in Ligure 1, Ligure 2, and Ligure 6 to Ligure 8, a rotary quick-release hinge comprises a support seat 10 fixed to a ceramic toilet bowl and includes an insertion rod 11 and a shaft rotary 20 composed of a fixing shaft 21 and a damper 22 connected coaxially to rotate a toilet seat. The lower part of the fixing shaft 21 of the present invention has a vertical post 211. The vertical post 211 has a hole for a rod
212 extending from the bottom of the vertical post 211 into the fixing shaft 21. The insertion rod 11 has a height less than the depth of the hole for rod 212. When the insertion rod 11 is completely inserted in the hole for rod 212 to be positioned there, the vertical upright 211 is pressed against the support seat 10. The rotary shaft 20 further comprises a locking device 23 disposed on the fixing shaft 21 and located between the damper 22 and the rod hole 212. The locking device 23 is configured to lock the insertion rod 11 and connected to the toilet seat. When the toilet seat is rotated by a predetermined angle, the locking device 23 is disengaged from a locking groove 12 disposed on the insertion rod 11 so that the insertion rod 11 can be withdrawn from the rod hole 212.
As illustrated in Ligure 1, Ligure 2, and Ligure 6 to Ligure 8, the fixing shaft 21 of the present invention comprises axially a reduced shaft 213. The reduced shaft 213 has a stepped hole 214 extending from l outer end of the reduced shaft
213 to the hole for the rod 212 and communicating with the hole for the rod 212. The junction of the fixing shaft 21 and the reduced shaft 213 comprises an axially an oblong hole 215 crossing the stepped hole 214. A damping rod 221 of the the damper 22 is inserted and fixed to the stepped hole 214. The locking device 23 is mounted between the reduced shaft 213 and the rod hole 212. Specifically, the locking device 23 comprises a spring 231 installed in the stepped hole 214, a locking element 232 which abuts against the spring 231 and can be moved in and out of the hole for rod 212, a cylindrical upright 233 inserted in the oblong hole 215 and connected to a rear end 2321 of the locking element 232 , and a locking ring 234 rotatably connected to the reduced shaft 213. The rim of the locking ring 234 has a curved groove 2341. When the cylindrical post 233 is pressed against a th end of the oblong hole 215 through the rim of the locking ring 234, a front end 2322 of the locking element 232 is pushed into the hole for rod 212 and engaged with the locking groove 12 of the rod insertion 11. When the locking ring 234 is rotated so that the curved groove 2341 gives way to the cylindrical post 233, the cylindrical post 233 is moved to another end of the oblong hole 215 and engaged in the curved groove 2341. The spring 231 pushes the locking member 232 so that the front end 2322 of the locking member 232 comes out of the rod hole 212 to unlock the insertion rod 11. The outer surface of the locking ring 234 of the present invention has a projection 2342. The projection 2342 and the curved groove 2341 are aligned in the axial direction of the locking ring 234. The locking ring 234 is connected to the seat of toilet via the projection 2342. The locking device 23 further comprises a positioning ring 235 for axially positioning the locking ring 234 on the reduced shaft 213. The positioning ring 235 circumferentially comprises an annular positioning groove 2352. The positioning ring 235 has an engagement hole 2351. The outer wall of the reduced shaft 213 has a positioning protrusion 216. The positioning protrusion 216 is engaged with the engagement hole 2351 for fixing the positioning ring 235 placed on the reduced shaft 213, so that the locking ring 234 can only rotate on the reduced shaft 213 and cannot move axially along the reduced shaft 213. This completes the assembly of the rotary shaft 20 of the present invention.
As illustrated in Ligure 3 to Ligure 6, the present invention further relates to a toilet seat with a quick release rotary hinge. The toilet seat 30 comprises a seat 31 and an upper cover 32. The quick-release rotary hinge comprises a support seat 10 and a rotary shaft 20. A seat shaft sleeve 311 has a strip-shaped groove 312. The entire rotary shaft 20 is inserted into the seat shaft sleeve 311 and a shaft sleeve of the upper cover 321. The vertical post 211 of the fixing shaft 21 is exposed outside the shaft sleeve of seat 311. The projection 2342 on the locking ring 234 is engaged with the strip-shaped groove 312 in the shaft sleeve of the seat 311 to lock each other. A positioning loop 313 is integrated into the outer wall of the seat shaft sleeve 311. The positioning loop 313 is engaged in the annular positioning groove 2352 of the positioning ring 235, so that the shaft 20 is positioned in the shaft sleeve of the seat 311 and the shaft sleeve of the upper cover 321. As illustrated in Ligure 5 and Ligure 6, the rotary shaft 20 and the toilet seat 30 of the present invention can be assembled with ease. When the seat shaft sleeve 311 is horizontal, an angle included between the curved groove 2341 of the locking ring 234 and the cylindrical post 233 in the direction of rotation of the toilet seat 30 is 90 ° ± 5 °.
The operating principle and the actions of the specific implementation of the present invention are described in detail below.
As illustrated in Figure 4 to Figure 8, the support seat 10 is fixed to the ceramic toilet bowl. The rotary shaft 20 is pivotally connected to the seat shaft sleeve 311 and the shaft sleeve of the top cover 321. The insertion rod 11 is completely inserted into the rod hole 212 to be positioned there. The vertical post 211 of the rotary shaft 20 is pressed fully against the support seat 10. The edge of the locking ring 234 presses the cylindrical post 233, so that the cylindrical post 233 is pressed against one end of the hole oblong 215, and the locking element 232 moves forward against the elastic force of the spring 231, and the front end 2322 of the locking element 232 extends into the hole for rod 212 and is put in taken in the locking groove 12 of the insertion rod 11, in other words, the locking device 23 locks the insertion rod 11 and the fixing shaft 21, thereby installing the toilet seat 30 on the ceramic toilet bowl. The seat 31 and the top cover 32 can be slowly turned downwards via the shock absorber 22. All the pressure from the toilet seat 30 is loaded on the rotary shaft 20. Because the height of the insertion rod 11 is less than the depth of the rod hole 212, the insertion rod 11 is completely inserted into the rod hole 212 to be positioned there. The upper end of the insertion rod 11 is not in contact with the lower part of the rod hole 212. Consequently, the downward pressure supported by the rotary shaft 20 is fully supported by the support seat 10 via the vertical post 211. When the toilet seat 30 is slowly turned downwards via the damper 22, the torque generated on the rotary shaft 20 is jointly supported by the vertical post 211, the insertion rod 11 and the support seat 10 with a significant bonding force.
As illustrated in Figure 10 to Figure 12, the seat 31 is turned upward to a position of 90 ° ± 5 °, and the seat 31 causes the rotation of the locking ring 234. When the projection 2342 of the locking ring 234 is aligned with the oblong hole 215, the curved groove 2341 of the locking ring 234 gives way to the cylindrical upright 233. The spring 231 resiliently pushes the locking element 232 and the cylindrical upright 233 rearward, so that the cylindrical post 233 is moved to the other end of the oblong hole 215 and engaged in the curved groove 2341. The front end 2322 of the locking member 232 is disengaged from the locking groove 12 of the insertion rod 11 and the hole for rod 212, and the locking device 23 unlocks the insertion rod 11, so that the insertion rod 11 can be removed from the hole for rod 212. As illustrated in Figure 9 and Figure 13, the toilet seat 30 is pulled upward to remove the insertion rod 11 from the rod hole 212, that is, the rotary shaft 20 is separated from the support seat 10, and the toilet seat 30 can be detached from the ceramic toilet bowl.
On the contrary, as illustrated in Figure 9 and Figure 13, when the locking device 23 unlocks the insertion rod 11, the rod hole 212 of the rotary shaft 20 is aligned with the insertion rod 11 on the support seat 10. After that, the toilet seat 30 is pressed down, and the insertion rod 11 is fully inserted into the rod hole 212. The toilet seat 30 is turned down, and the seat 31 immediately causes the locking ring 234 to rotate in an opposite direction. The curved groove 2341 immediately pushes the cylindrical upright 233 toward the edge of the locking ring 234. The cylindrical upright 233 causes the locking member 232 to move forward against the elastic force of the spring 231, and the front end 2322 of the locking member 232 extends into the rod hole 212 and is engaged in the locking groove 12 of the insertion rod 11, in other words, the locking device 23 locks the rod d insertion 11, and the rotary shaft 20 and the support seat 10 are locked and immobilized, thus carrying out the installation of the toilet seat 30 on the ceramic toilet bowl. In the process that the toilet seat 30 continues to rotate downward, the rim of the locking ring 234 is held against the cylindrical post 233. As illustrated in Figure 4 and Figure 5, until the seat toilet 30 is turned to a horizontal position, the locking device 23 always locks the insertion rod 11.
Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, many modifications and improvements can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
